Rory Beca Kaela Front Panel dress (and in pink),Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels, Celin bag, c/o RetroSuperFuture sunnies, similar Horn Long necklace, Dana Rebecca Lauren Joy + Sylvie Rose necklace, Catbird Bittersweet Letter ring, Gabriela Artigas Pave ring, Knot ring (similar)

Finding “THE Perfect dress,” is quite the bold statement. I mean, it has to fit so many needs before it is called the perfect dress. Take the LBD – it is labeled classic and perfect because it has stood the test of time, flatters every body, and is wearable to most any event. I know the blue silk Rory Beca above is hard to compete with the LBD but it runs a close race! When I talk about owning a closet of classic basics, this dress is what I am talking about. It is wearable, comfortable, beautiful, transitional, and classic. When you have a piece like this you can wear it with heels or flats, alone or with a blazer, dressy or casual, day or night. THE perfect dress for your closet! A few years ago I might have looked at this dress and passed it up, thinking I could find something much more “fun.” But those “fun” dresses are all in Goodwill’s – not one lasted the test of time! The sleeves make it classy, the color makes it easy to wear to any event, and the hem is youthful. I mean, first round might have gone to the LBD, but second round is definitely going to the blue number.

I have a few suggestions if you, too, are looking for dresses and ready to settle down with the “perfect” one.

:: This little white shift would be the perfect blank canvas to any look this summer (when does a shift go out of style)

:: This blue Tahari is beautiful and the longer sleeves make it more modern (perfect for a wedding or date night)

:: I love the assortment of colors this Wayf dress comes in. The price point is low enough to have money left over to tailor this to your body. TAILORING IS KEY!

:: The contrast, ease, and modern silhouette of this ASOS number is so sexy to me. I absolutely love it!

:: THIS draping! Oh my gosh, this draping!

:: A striped dress is always in style! lower, high street, designer - think about which would fit your body best and don’t be afraid to splurge, you will wear this until the end of time!
