{Soooo…. I am crazy excited. I finally got my camera back from the repair shop! Yay for non-iphone fashion photos again!}

The hubs and I have been trying to spend a little more one on one time together, so last night we had a date night, {and I got to show of the new peplum skirt!} We started off by going to a wonderful restaurant we had been wanting to try forever, called Cucina Urbana. If you’re a local to San Diego it’s a must, and I definitely recommend reservations! It’s not super upscale…, just crazy busy. Afterwards we decided to head over to Extraordinary Desserts downtown… which is always amazing… check out their site here, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Now to get back to the Peplum.

In case you were wondering the definition of Peplum is: a flared ruffle attached to the waistline of a dress, blouse, jacket or skirt… it originated from the greek word Peplos.

I never thought in a million years I would jump on the “Peplum Bandwagon”, but I decided to try one on, kind of as a joke. I always thought they were a tad too business casual for me… but now I want a Peplum blazer, top, dress, you name it. They are easy to incorporate into your wardrobe, and they will surely jazz up an otherwise boring outfit. Just pair with something that is a tad more casual, than the Peplum piece.  Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 have a ton of them right now too! Seriously, I am officially in love with all things Peplum. I even love saying it! Can you tell?
