Verdict on The Pawnshop
The Pawnshop is a documentary following Jola and Wiesiek who run the bigger Pawnshop in Poland. They have seen times getting tough which could ruin their business, but they have come up with a plan.
This gets to follow the everyday people who have their own characters that come into the store. They will help maintain the store which is so important to their lives. It shows a community coming together for the best and what it can do for an independent business.
This is an interesting documentary as we have seen in the mainstream how Pawnshops operate in other countries. We get a chance to learn more about another culture and style of business.
Where to Watch: The Pawnshop is showing at Kinoteka Polish Film Festival 2023 on the 19th of March 2023. You can get tickets Here.
Final Thoughts – The Pawnshop is an interesting look into a Polish business.
