Plot: After living life on the edge in London, Rona attempts to come to terms with her troubled past. Hoping to heal, she returns to the wild beauty of Scotland’s Orkney Islands where she grew up.

Story: The Outrun starts when Rona (Ronan) returns home to Scotland. She has been struggling with life in London and spends time at the Orkney Islands while dealing with her addiction. Rona tries different methods to help with her addiction by escaping the world.
She finds herself spending time alone on an island for her next project and finds peace in her life. However, it is just the beginning of her battle, which would take a lifetime to fight.
Verdict on The Outrun

The movie follows a woman dealing with addiction who heads home to find herself. However, her battles become more difficult as her withdrawal begins to take over.
Best Parts
The performance from Saoirse Ronan is brilliant proving she is one of the best stars in this generation. On the story, we get to see how important understand addiction and support people with them. There is a lot to process and the beautiful landscapes bring the story to life.
Final Thoughts –The Outrun is a moving story with incredible performance.
