The Orielles have shared ‘Space Samba (Disco Volador Theme)’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Disco Volador’ via Heavenly Records on 28 February.
Described by the band as ‘a song about corporeal experience, something which we feel we are collectively losing sight of in an age of mental existentialism’, the toe-tapping title track to the band’s second record blends synths and samba beats with space-age melodies and vocoders. Falling somewhere between Dutch Uncles and Adult Jazz, the song also features a freeform freakout towards the end (complete with cowbells) that will leave you excited to hear where this special band will head next…
