With a touch of early Blur of Pavement in its spiky intro, The Orielles ‘Jobin’ is a song that has instant appeal. Throw in some distorted vocals as the song moves into an altogether more shoegazey sound and you can see why this band is signed to the esteemed Art Is Hard label. The words ‘Don’t go chasing my time, you’re just wasting my time’ are delivered with extra emphasis. The song also has a very surf-pop feel that wouldn’t feel out of place next to Best Coast in a record collection. It’s a song you won’t be able to get enough of.
