The One Word That Will Always Make My Heart Melt

By Blondie @heyblondieblog

Mommy

SK spent the night away from home and OM slept a little later than normal. I am in the bathroom getting ready when Dagwood comes in with OM. As soon as he sees me his eyes light up, the easy smile that almost always graces his face appears and I hear "Mommy!".

Be. Still. My. Heart!

I always wanted to be a mommy. Ever since I was probably SK's age just like she tells me now she wants to be a mommy when she grows up. Was it that I longed for my biological mommy, the one I will meet in Heaven one day? Or is it something natural to all young girls to want to grow up to be a mommy?
Do I love that word even more having gone through many years "trying" to have a baby and make that dream a reality? Probably not. I think all mommies melt when they hear that word accompanied by the sweet eyes, hugs and kisses from their children.
Okay, so some of you are thinking..I just got hammered all day with Mommy I spilled this or Mommy I need that or just plain old Mommy, Mommy, Mommy! I totally hear ya!!
Even so, isn't it still the most precious word?!
I am blessed beyond measure to have these sweet angels call me Mommy!
Prayers go out for all that I do know or have not had the pleasure of meeting who are still waiting to hear this sweet word. God's timing is perfect even when the waiting is so very hard. I truly understand and will continue praying for your peace and dream to be made a reality!
