One simple mouth swab is all it takes. A quick DNA test to find your perfect partner - the one you're genetically made for.

A decade after scientists discover everyone has a gene they share with just one other person, millions have taken the test, desperate to find true love. Now, five more people meet their Match. But even soul mates have secrets. And some are more shocking - and deadlier - than others.

It took me a long time to really get into this book. I struggled with the premise. Love, as far as I'm concerned, is an emotion and has absolutely nothing to do with your DNA. However, I started to really fall for the characters and their different stories. The author does a great job at bringing his world to life. In the book, people have taken DNA matching to heart. Relationships and marriages have been torn apart because couple weren't matched. People who have been tested but have no match are seen almost as freakish outcasts. The book tells the story of five very different DNA matches. Each couple's story is very different and in some cases, totally unexpected like the straight man matched with another man who finds himself falling in love. Then there's the woman matched with a serial killer. I was engrossed in this book after a few chapters.
