In a series of messages to her fans via Twitter early Tuesday, megastar Sharon Cuneta poured her heart out and admitted that she was “sad” about her current figure and would like to get back in shape...
“I'm so tired of just being tired of not finding myself in the mirror because I have an image of myself in my head and I know it's not what I actually look like now,” she said on her Twitter account.

Awww. She has my sympathies. Despite her very public (and seemingly lost) battle with the bulge over the years, there was a time when the Mega did actually manage to trim herself down to svelte proportions (so--yes, I believe she can do it again, with discipline and hard work). Her recent Twitter lament made me remember this video clip in my collection, of Sharon guesting in Martin Nievera's year 2000 concert with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra at the CCP, and emerging in a slinky blue gown looking smashingly slender. (Not too hot about the singing, though--sounds flat.) Watch:
