The New iPhone Apple Reportedly Has 4GB of RAM, 33% More Than Its Predecessor

As you might know, Apple launched the cheapest iPhone last yesterday, the iPhone SE (2022). This new model looks exactly like the old one, but it packs the A15 A15 apple chip under the hood – that’s the same SOC found on the iPhone 13.

And it’s not the only part that was shared with the iPhone 13, according to a new report. The new iPhone SE also has 4GB of RAM. It was 1GB more than its predecessor of 2020, and once again matched the iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max still had more – 6GB – but 4GB was quite a lot on the land of Apple’s phone.

This information comes from the string in the Xcode 13.3 RC which Apple closed after yesterday’s peek performance event. The same type of Xcode string has accurately revealed the amount of RAM in several generations of the iPhone in the past.

The new iPhone SE will be ready to order in advance this Friday, on March 11, and will be available on March 18.
