The mother of the little boy who was modeling the H&M hoodie is telling us to get over it!
While the rest of us were mad and ready to boycott H&M for having a little black boy model a hoodie with the words “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle,” his alleged mother Terry Mango is not.
In an Instagram post shared by LoveBScott, Terry Mango wrote the following:
“[I] am the mum, and this is one of hundreds of outfits my son has modeled. Stop crying wolf all the time, [it’s] an unnecessary issue here. Get over it.. That’s my son, [I’ve] been to all photoshoots and this was not an exception. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about this… I really don’t understand but not [because I’m] choosing not to, but because it’s not my way of thinking. Sorry.”
Terry Mango’s Instagram is set to private, so I found her Facebook page, and based off that, the little boy and his family live in Stockholm, Sweden, and his mother is originally from Kenya.
It also looks as though she or someone from their “team” has now created a fan page of some sorts on Instagram for the little boy whose name appears to be Liam. Check that out below:
