The Times of Israel is reporting on a new mutation of the CoronaVirus that has been found in minks. This was discovered in Denmark I think and it is concerning to the Europeans and to people traveling from Europe, including some people who recently traveled from Denmark to Israel.
I am not sure what they are so concerned about. Hardly anyone today wears mink coats, but maybe they think it will be transmitted from a shtreimel into the person wearing it. Will it jump from shtreimel to shtreimel? Will shtreimels have to go into quarantine - they are generally in quarantine all week long anyway and only taken out on Shabbos, so a two week quarantine would make a person skip one Shabbos of the shtreimel, though maybe some people have two shtreimels and could alternate... oy, the minks!
