The Miami Open Unveils Its Signature ‘MO Smash’ Cocktail (Recipe)

By Jen Campbell @TennisLife_Mag

In honor of its new home at the Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Open has unveiled its new signature cocktail, the MO Smash. (And of course, we got our hands on the recipe!)

This refreshing beverage will be featured on the grounds throughout the two-week event but you can also make it at home as you watch the exciting tournament on your television.

"The drink was created in partnership with Hendricks Gin, serving up a cocktail that is light and refreshing, approachable while still embracing the deep flavors of Miami. The citrus forward cocktail pairs perfectly with the subtlety of the gin for a perfect courtside cocktail." -MO spokesperson

Here's how you can make the MO Smash at home:

Ingredients

Directions

  • Add ingredients to an ice-filled glass and add soda water until almost full
  • Top with .5 ounce Solerno (Blood Orange Liqueur)

OPTIONAL: Garnish with a blood orange wheel
