This morning after giving us a glimpse of Baby Sussex, Harry and Meghan announced their new royal baby boy name.
The royal couple named him Archie Harrison Mountbatten – Windsor.
If you’re like me, when you heard the name you wondered why Archie? Well, now we know the meaning behind the seventh in line to the British throne’s name.
Archie is another name for Archibald, meaning “bold” or “brave”, while Harrison means “son of Harry.”
Harry and Meghan have also chosen not to use a courtesy title for baby Sussex, according to the Britsh papers.
As the first-born son of a duke, Archie could have assumed the title of Earl of Dumbarton but he will instead simply be known as Master Archie.
