The Man Who Made My Acting Dreams Come True

Posted on the 06 April 2018 by Beinglatinacom

Say hello to the man who made my dreams of becoming an actress come true, Peter Serrano. I first met Peter, when he and a group of actors came in and they did a performance at my church. They were the award-winning acting/mentorship group called the Teen Advocates. As soon as the show was over, I asked when they would be holding their next auditions and a few months later I got the call.

I was super nervous when I walked in the room, but still excited to be there. When I got there I was to act as if though a teddy bear that was sitting on a desk was my boyfriend. I was then given a script and then left alone for 5 minutes, before Peter came back in and started my audition. With over 1,000 people auditioning for about 10 spots, I wasn’t sure if I would make the cut, but I did.

For over 5 years I worked hard as I wrote scripts, performed live, and helped mentor teens throughout NYC and other parts of the United States as well.  Being an actress, role model and advocate to teens was an amazing and invaluable experience that to this day motivates me to be a better person, actress and all around human being. Thank you Peter for seeing something in me that I knew was there, but was afraid to let out at times, yet yearned to unleash
