Thoughts on The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot

Characters

Calvin Barr has lived an incredible life, he is looking back at his time in the war,.Where he used his tracking skills to kill Hitler, now in his later years. His government turns to him to hunt down a new threat on their own soil and while he continues to live with the pain of murdering a man. This lets him take his mind off things. Flag Pin is the government agent that turns to Calvin for help after hearing the legendary stories about the great man. Maxine is the woman a younger Calvin feel in love with. A teacher that brings new meaning to his life, only she isn’t around in his older life.

Performances: Sam Elliott in the leading role is the true star of the show, he shows a man living in a world a regret and sadness. Remembering the moments that made his life great. The rest of the cast is solid, letting Sam take center stage.

Story

The story here follows a war veteran that is asked to go and hunt down a bigfoot that has been hunting down people in the wilderness. While he remembers his time in the war, where he hunted down Hitler. This is an interesting story because we get to see how an older man will look back at his life. Feeling different emotions including regret and loss, while still having pride for what he did. The title is mostly misleading because we don’t get enough time to focus on either the hunting of Hitler or Bigfoot.

Adventure/Sci-FiThe adventure does show the different locations that Calvin has had, be it during his war time and tacking bigfoot.

SettingsThe film uses the settings to show the different times in Calvin’s life, each one shows the different emotion he is going through.

Scene of the Movie – The hunting for Bigfoot.

That Moment That Annoyed Me – It doesn’t live up to the title.

Final Thoughts This is a strange film relies on the title, even though it dives more into the emotional factors rather than any of the hunting side of the film.

Overall: Too Strange.
