The Love Letters of Abelard and Lily by Laura Creedle

By Pamelascott

When Lily Michaels-Ryan ditches her ADHD meds and lands in detention with Abelard, she's intrigued-he seems thirty seconds behind, while she feels thirty seconds ahead. It doesn't hurt that he's brilliant and beautiful.

The Love Letters of Abelard and Lily by Laura Creedle

When Abelard posts a quote from The Letters of Abelard and Heloise online, their mutual affinity for ancient love letters connects them. The two fall for each other. Hard. But is it enough to bridge their differences in person?

This hilarious, heartbreaking story of human connection between two neurodivergent teens is perfect for fans of Eleanor and Park and creates characters that will stay with you long after you finish reading.

Aw this book was so sweet, maybe not exactly a swoony romance per se but close enough. I adored Lily and Abelard (adorable name by the way). The title is a rip of a book they use to quote to each other The Love Letters of Abelard and Heloise. The book is narrated by Lily and she's a brilliant character - messed up, sweet, confused about the world and struggling to fit in. Abelard is sort of perfect for her. He has ADHD as well but his symptoms and reactions are vastly different than Lily's. I love how they fall for each other, it's so natural and effortless and so real. They are two people who seem made for each other and their contours fit together perfectly like a jigsaw puzzle. I laughed and cried and sighed a lot reading this. I adored it.
