I really enjoyed the first novella, Witches of Lychford so I had high expectations for this sequel. I got exactly what I hoped for. Returning to Lychford and the trio of bad-ass (sort of) witches was like bumping into an old friend and discovering, to your delight, that they were still pretty much the same if a little older. Reverend Lizzie is my favourite character. She's not really what I expect from a Reverend. This novella has some sad moments as the witches uncover just who the ghostly little boy is what fresh evil is trying to rise in the village. I could easily had read something twice this length.
