Story: The Long Walk starts as we meet the hermit (Chanthalungsy( living with the ghosts of the locals who doesn’t want to pass over, with him getting a chance to meet a young woman (Soydara) who will give him a chance to return to his younger self, where as a Boy (Silatsa) he will see the pain suffered by his mother before her death.
As the relationships in both times come together, we get to see the pain the people have been through and how the Hermit has lived his entire life with this pain.
Thoughts on The Long Walk
Thoughts – The Long Walk is an interesting sci-fi thriller that will put us into a futuristic environment without turning to too much technology, while offer up a new idea behind what time travel can offer up people. It will get to address pain of losing someone, while offering up a chance for spirits to go on the final journey. The film will offer up plenty to enjoy, while bringing us the disturbing creation of the world. The performances in the film are strong with the cast stepping into their most of their first roles, never looking out of place. The Long Walk is one film that can be enjoyed, left with plenty to think about once it is done.
Final Thoughts – The Long Walk is a smartly written sci-fi thriller with plenty left to think about.
