But they never blind me. If you want to play a treacherous game for the greater good of your fledging fashion blog, I would 100% recommend attempting to shoot an outfit in Mong Kok. At Ladies’ Market, no less.
So this is all a bit tourist hotspot, isn’t it? I’ve been meaning to shoot some sweet nighttime outfit photos for the longest time (read: 10 months) because Hong Kong is the city that only gets better as the day and night passes. We shot these at just gone 11pm on Friday night after finally visiting the Pokemon pop-up at Satay King and it was so much fun!
Powered by a Fennekin strawberry jelly soda and Pikachu pork curry rice, Sophia and I dodged rogue taxi drivers and ambling city-goers for these snaps. I’m wearing a striped T-shirt dress slipped underneath my faux leather skirt - finally acclimatised to being able to wear leather-esque items in 35°C humidity! I actually made an error with the T-shirt dress: been dying for a lace-up number but this one is a little too thick to achieve that insouciant effortless look and I cut it a smidgen too short, hence having to pair it - albeit bulkily - with a skirt.
I finally get to debut my Chloé Lauren flats here too! Absolutely besotted with these. They’re faithfully comfortable and I could take on twenty dragons or conquer a Pokemon quest in them, probably.
