The LG G Pad II 8.3 is the successor to the 2013′s LG G Pad 8.3 and it comes with a metal body, and a lot of addtional hardware specifications. LG on 22nd Dec announced the launch of the LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE tablet in Korea which boasts a full-HD display, a full-sized USB port, and LTE connectivity as highlights.
The tab comes with an 8.3-inch full-HD (1920×1200 pixels) IPS display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 octa-core SoC (1.5GHz quad-core coupled with 1GHz quad-core) with 2GB of RAM.
Other features of the LG G Pad II 8.3 include 16GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The LG G Pad II 8.3 also includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and a 2-megapixel front camera.
The successor also supports LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, and other standard connectivity options unlike its predecessor. The tablet also comes with a standard USB 2.0 port, on the software front. With the tablet running Android 5.1.1 there are no words on when – and if – it will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update.
As for the costing and launch dates are concerned, LG hasn’t revealed anything. For now it comes only in a Brown Gold color option and set to launch only in Korea. Hope it looks like LG is trying to refresh its G Tablets lineup as it launched the LG G II 10.1, LG G II 8.0 and LG G pad 8 in the same year as this.
