Story: The Ledge starts when two friends Kelly (Ashworth) and Sophie (Parello) head away for a climbing weekend, they meet four guys Joshua (Lamb), Reynolds (Welsh), Nathan (Boyer) and Taylor (Wayman) up there for a good time too.

When one of the guys Joshua attacks Sophie, the rest reluctantly help him cover up the attack, leaving Kelly to go on the run, using her own mountain climbing skills to elude them.

Thoughts on The Ledge

ThoughtsThe Ledge uses the simple concept of having the one person hiding out in their strength on a mountain range, where the criminals are looking to catch them, but lack the skills to get to them. Now, for the simple idea, this is all it needs to be, but the story puts a lot more focus on the dynamic between the male friends and whether they agree with what happened or how it happened, than the intensity that could have been placed on the battle to survive. The Ledge will turn more into the waiting game, never giving Brittany Ashworth or her character Kelly enough to focus on the physical side of what would have been expected about the role. The Ledge is a thriller that could easily have been a lot more intense, but sadly falls into trying to show the battle between friends for what is right.

Signature Entertainment presents The Ledge on Digital Platforms 14th March and DVD 21st March

Final Thoughts The Ledge is a thriller that never connects the intensity it could have had.
