Plot: Sheriff Owens (Schwarzenegger) is a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Summerton Junction after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at 200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Summerton Junction, where the whole of U.S. law enforcement will have their last opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for the face off.
Verdict: Arnie’s Back
Story: We all know what to expect from an Arnie film, plenty of action and one liners. This delivers what you expect nothing more nothing less. We get the quirky support characters, a higher authority that doubts him and a villain that will stop at nothing. Don’t go in expecting to see anything Oscar worthy just look to sit back and enjoy the film unfold. (7/10)
Actor Review
Arnold Schwarzenegger: Ray Owens a former narcotics officers who know is the sheriff at a small town where very little happens, he still has some fight in him that is bad news for anyone who messes with his town. Typical Arnie performance that will have a bit of fun with his age now. (7/10)
Forest Whitaker: Agent Bannister the FBI agent who loses the criminal while trying to transfer him, only to try and track him down. Standard FBI performance offering nothing new to the character. (6/10)
Eduardo Noriega: Gabriel Cortez the ruthless criminal who enjoys the speed of his car, he will kill anybody who gets in his way and likes to take an extra risk when it is not needed. Good villainous performance but he misses a lot of the action.(7/10)
Peter Stormare: Burrell the man behind the final leg of the escape who makes the mistake of picking Owen’s town, comes off as a reasonable guy until he doesn’t get his own way. Good villainous support performance as he gets to face Arnie and his team. (7/10)
Johnny Knoxville: Lewis the nuts vintage gun collector who joins the force to stop the criminals coming through the town and giving him a chance to use his own guns in combat. Good performance if not crazy, you will remember more of his scenes than anyone else’s. (7/10)

Thriller: The action gives this thrills but the build is not the most thrilling. (8/10)
Settings: Basic setting which works well for the film giving isolation for the action showing how alone the town is against the criminals. (8/10)
Suggestion: This is for all the action fans out there, you will all enjoy this but people outside the fan zone will find this boring. (Action Fans Watch)
