Story: The Last Podcast starts when podcaster Charlie Bailey (Tabach) brings the latest episode of his ‘ParaNormalcy’ show. He spends his podcast questioning anyone who believes in the afterlife. His girlfriend Brie (Kaikane) doesn’t like how he acts toward his guests and is questioning whether they can move in together.

Charlie gets a mysterious message from a man named Duncan (Rush) who claims he can prove there is an afterlife. However, Charlie isn’t prepared for what happens next, as his podcast takes off and he gets the answers he has been searching for.

Verdict on The Last Podcast

The Last Podcast is a horror comedy following a podcaster who has spent his time debunking paranormal stories. However, a stranger offers him an answer he can’t explain and now, he must figure out how to solve the problem he is facing.

This movie pokes a bit of fun at people who are trying to make a name for themselves on social media. It uses the podcaster trying to make a name for himself, in a battling war against constant new pop-ups, searching for a viral moment. This leans into the comedy involved and takes the debunker on a wild adventure. In the end, we see how far people will go to gain success and how fame can go to somebody’s head. Eric Tabach is great in the leading role, showing the desperation his character has to be a success.
