My review–

The Kite Runner is the first novel which became the New York bestseller by Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini. The story makes you end up in a hurricane of emotions -loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, love, sin and redemption. The writer have artistically crafted and been a magical storyteller which make us grip till the end. The emotions and feelings are so beautifully expressed that I could feel them in their joy and sorrow as if I was watching them through writer’s eyes.

Khaleid Hosseini has written some heart wrenching quotes in the book which adds more glory to it!

“When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife’s right to a husband; rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone’s right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness.”

The book will also disclose how the society considers the gaps between classes, the fall of Afghanistan’s monarchy through the Soviet military intervention, the exodus of refugees to Pakistan and the United States, and the rise of the Taliban regime.

A magical book which touches your soul with its story as Amir (son of a wealthy Kabul merchant), the narrative takes you back to his life in 1975 in Afghanistan- his childhood, his friendship with Hassan (also his servant). Hassan is a very kind and a loyal friend anyone would desire to have. He could do anything and everything for his friend Amir- “For you, a thousand times over.” Their life was around their small world until one Kite fighting tournament changed their destiny forever followed by Russian invade.

There’s a way to be good again” And Amir decides to go back with a hope of redemption. But with this many unfold truths comes out which makes the reader stunned and intrigued.

One of the best books I ever read which teaches and inspire us. I loved it and got so lost in it that after completion of reading, even watched the movie that was adapted by this novel.

If you have to read one book in your lifetime, then pick up this masterpiece and create a memory that will last forever.

Lastly Tashakor for reading this post!
