Handbags are an accessory that you are more likely to have fewer of in your wardrobe and tend to use the same one most days (yes I know some people change them up each day for every different outfit, but that’s less common).
Handbags also may be a higher-priced investment item and you want to make sure that the one you choose will work with all your outfits. Think that’s impossible? Well, I’m here to share with you my secret to choosing a handbag color that will work with every outfit you wear.

- Match the color to other accessories you’re wearing
- Match the color to your hair
The third option is a really easy one as it means that whatever the colours in your outfit because you’re always wearing your hair, your handbag will go automatically with something else in your outfit (this is also true with choosing your shoe color too). Notice how the gray of this handbag matches my hair exactly so doesn’t look out of place even though I’m not wearing any other gray in my outfit?
So if you want an investment handbag, one that you keep for years, that may be pricier and one you want to get great value from, choosing a handbag in your hair color is the way to go. Your hair color is the most versatile neutral you can own, and should be one that you choose for many items, from trousers and jackets to shoes, boots and bags.
