It's that time of year where you're not sure whether to go full winter wardrobe, or just step one foot into autumn. I’m torn between wanting to dive straight into chunky knits and over the knee boots, but also wanting to wear short skirts and denim jackets.
I popped along to Cornmill Shopping Centre to style up some pieces for the season. If there's one store I highly recommend visiting for your new season wardrobe, it's Dorothy Perkins. With a range of coats, knitwear and accessories, I'm sure you'll form quite the wishlist. It's all affordable too, with this somewhat Ted Baker influenced coat only £65. There's also some aviator jackets in this season and one in a lovely plum shade. So tempting.
To compliment the plum tones, I opted for a cream chunky knit, but you could play around with different colours and textures. Grey is always a safe choice and black goes with everything but don't feel limited to that. I did have my eye on some coated jeans, but picked out these treggings instead that reminded me of my equestrian days wearing jodhpurs. Someone please encourage me to take up that hobby again!
What's Autumn without a new pair of boots? Whether you're going for some statement over the knee, classic chelsea, or trying out the sock trend, make sure you pick up a pair of boots. This goes for you too guys.
