It’s Monday, I’m back on the healthy bandwagon, fitflops are on and instead of having cheesecake for breakfast like I did yesterday, I’ve decided to give juicing a try. *smug face* My juicer arrived over the weekend (the cheapest one on Amazon in case you were wondering) and I bounced out of bed bleary eyed this morning, excited to try it. Whether you want to look good in your bikini or you can’t remember a day when you didn’t over indulge, a detox can make you feel and look great.
My first thoughts when starting the juicing diet were:
- Ooh! I can’t wait to be skinny!
- I wonder if I’ll lose half a stone by Sunday
- I have to put spinach in?!
- I have to drink seven drinks a day?
Like any healthy regime, planning is essential. You will need a juicer and you will need small bottles to take your drinks with you for the day. Before you begin download the Jason Vale App so you know exactly what ingredients to buy.
Yes, you need a lot of fruit if you plan to stick to the juicing diet for a whole week. Once you have everything you need, it’s time for the fun to begin. My favorite smoothie is the Turbo Express as all you can really taste is the lime, apple and pineapple and none of the avocado and spinach (thank god).
Step One: Peel the lime
Step Two: Pop an Apple in to the chute
Step Three:Pack in a handful of spinach, celery and cucumber
Step Four: Sandwich in the ingredients with another apple
Step Five: Throw in the pineapple
Step Six: Crush the avocado and ice in a blender
Step Seven: Pour into a glass and serve
Step Eight: Clean the Juicer (Yawn)
Voila! One Turbo Express! Bored of this one? There are lots of good Jason Vale recipes here. Have you tried the Jason Vale Juicing diet? If you have any badass smoothie recipes up your sleeve, let me know in the comments! x
