It features Cassie Bedford (Harriett Dyer, No Activity, Killing Ground), a young woman who gets flashes of crimes or sees people who are stuck in limbo, the InBetween. Luckily for Cassie, she has two great dads who adopted her when she was younger, Brian Currie (Michael B. Silver, NYPD Blue), a therapist, and Detective Tom Hackett (Paul Blackthorne, Arrow) of the Seattle Police Department. Tom and Brian understand that her gift is sometimes a curse, one she inherited from her mother. However, it comes in handy when she can help some of Tom’s cases with his partner, Detective Damien Asante (Justin Cornwall, Training Day).
This season finale wraps up the ten-episode season. In “Monsters and Angels”, Cassie has to face Ed Roven (Sean Bolger, Twin Peaks, This is Us) who has haunted her most of the season, while trying to deal with familial problems that could rock her whole world. To deal with the problem that Roven presents, Cassie calls upon an old friend who she helped earlier for help. But, she also hopes for a little support from her mother, even if it is just in the way of luck from a locket, a woman that she never really got to know very well because she dumped Cassie for her addictions. As it turns out, the story of Cassie’s mother ends up being part of the season’s cliffhanger.
