The Hurtful Goodbye

Why don’t you want me anymore?
Why don’t you love me anymore?
Just another day, you would say,
That I was the one for you
That I brought happiness to you
And luck and joy
But now you don’t look at me anymore
Now you are changing everything that reminds you of me
Why do you hurt me so much?
You have found another
And being too blatant about it too
Why do you want to hurt me so much
How is this making you so happy?
It seems I could cry and cry and you wouldn’t mind
Then I guess it’s better to make a clean break
That just saying a final good bye
Would make things easier to go by
And thus, I leave with this past word
May the new partner treat you good
