Plot: A couple returns home from a night out to find two sadistic strangers waiting to terrorize them.

Story: The Hive starts when Albie (Haug) and Penny (Griffin) get one of their first nights out together for months. They have been going through a few problems and this night is meant to help patch things up. However, when they return home, they find a strange couple in their home.

Once Albie and Penny return home, they look to sneak back in and take their home back. However, the strangers are waiting for them and capture them, demanding answers. Although the couple doesn’t know the information that is being demanded from them.

Verdict on The Hive

The Hive is a horror thriller following a couple who return from a night out to find another couple in their home. They find themselves being terrorised through the night as the strangers want answers. However, what is really wanted will only leave more questions than answers.

This is a home invasion movie with a twist which follows the couple trying to survive the night. It uses the idea of an unexpected home visit well and shows the confusion and tactics to get what they want. This plays into a disturbing reality that could be seen from the conspiracy theorists of the world. However, it uses more psychological terror over any sort of disturbing bigger factors.
