However, Dawsey Adams (Huisman) tells her about a book club that helped the residents of Guernsey survive the German occupation.

Juliet decides to head to Guernsey to learn about what happened during the war. It sees her fall in love with the beautiful island but uncovers a truth that they had hoped to leave secret.
