  1. If you work in central Manchester then try out the new lunchtime menu at The Grill on the Alley. The restaurant is situated on Ridge street very close to Kings street and Deansgate.
  2. Choose from a selection of eight main courses (at the time of writing) including steak sandwich and hake served with a pea and herb risotto. Click here to have a look at the lunchtime menu.
  3. Enjoy a complimentary sparkling wine or beer (super dry Japanese Lager was served when I visited) with your meal. The cost of the meal with the drink included is £12.50.
  4. If you want to move away from the set menu then choose a cocktail from the extensive menu.
  5. And after all that it’s probably time to go back to work. This restaurant is very central and ideally suited to a smart and efficient business lunch.

The Grill on the Alley serves modern good quality tasty food in spacious surroundings. The portion sizes are good and the food is filling served by attentive staff. The presentation of the food has been thought about and is of a high standard. The kitchen at the back is open plan so you can see the chefs at work.If you enjoy the lunch then the evening menu is much more extensive and offers high quality items if you were treating yourself or entertaining others. So next time you are thinking of where to eat in Manchester city center at Lunchtime then give The Grill on the Alley a try.

This is a slide show of the food I had and a guest ordering from the lunchtime menu.
