No. 3: Frenzy (1972)
Hitchcock’s farewell to London has the most logical presentation of the capital ever seen. Covent Garden Market (in its final days) and Henrietta Street, where the ‘Necktie Murderer’ lurks, two distinctive pubs (the ‘Globe’ on Bow Street and the ‘Nell of Old Drury’ on Catherine Street), Oxford Street, Soho Square, Leicester Square, the London Hilton, Hitch’s cameo outside County Hall, plus the classic title sequence incorporating the London coat of arms, as Tower Bridge opens up to let us into the world of the movie.
