The Gray Man will come to Metaverse by Netflix and Decentraland

The Gray Man’s first week on Netflix was the best because it had a lot of stars. It was at the top for almost a week. Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans were in it, and it was directed by the Russo Brothers. It’s Netflix’s most expensive movie so far, and there are plans for spin-offs and sequels. The streaming service came up with creative new ways to promote the spy action movie with A-list stars. This time, it’s for a mission in Decentraland.

Gray Man’s Mission in the Metaverse

“Enter the maze, find the fastest route to the fountain, retrieve the USB with classified information and get to the secret room as soon as possible,” the mission goal said. You had to get your Decentraland avatar through a well-known hedge labyrinth quickly enough to get on a scoreboard.

Agents who work hard and move quickly will be able to win special gifts. Just finishing the quest gave you access to NFT clothes for your Decentraland avatar. With these NFTs, Netflix is getting its first taste of web3 digital assets. Fans of the movie could buy costumes worn by both Gosling and Evans.

The version of Netflix in the metaverse

As was already mentioned, this is Netflix’s first big step into blockchain technology. The media conglomerate has a lot of pop culture intellectual property rights that could help them get into web3. The company is used to coming up with new ideas. After all, it started out as an online business for renting DVDs.

The move to streaming content put them on top of the home media world. This foray into the metaverse and the first NFT drop could be a sign that blockchain technology will be used more in the future. Not only that, but Netflix has just put Mike Verdu in charge of its video game section. Verdu was the vice president of virtual reality content at Meta. He had worked in the video game business for more than twenty years.

So it looks like the streaming service will soon add more metaverse features. At the very least, people may expect more gaming content, whether it’s on the blockchain or on consoles. So, what do you think? Is it a good idea for Netflix to join the metaverse? Please tell us in the section below for comments.
