The Glass Menagerie at DLS-College of St. Benilde--two More Performances Today
By Gibbs22manila @gibbscadizPlaywright-director George de Jesus reimagines Tennessee Williams' “The Glass Menagerie” for the School of Design and Arts Theater of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. The production has remaining performances today at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Set in '80s Manila, the Wingfields are now the Wenceslao family: Amanda the matriarch (Stella Cañete Balucas Mendoza), and her children Laura (Anna Luna) and Tom (Eric dela Cruz). The would-be suitor is now Jim Ordoñez (Joshua Deocareza).
Sound design and scoring by Simo Dacanay. Lights, costume and production design are by graduating majors of the Technical Theater and Production Design programs of DLS-CSB School of Design and Arts.
