It's crazy to think that 4 years have passed. Four years since we said our vows, promised to love one another through sickness and health and for better and worse. We've had our fair share of ups and downs, a roller coaster of emotions swirling after long days at work and then add in 4 moves in 2 years, yes it's been a little chaotic.
I was chatting with friends the other day about our anniversary and how were going to be keeping it simple with just dinner plans at a nice restaurant. As many of you know, date nights are rare for us since we both work full time and have a toddler so any excuse for us to get dressed up and enjoy a nice dinner together is what we enjoy doing when we have a time to celebrate.
My friends had stated that we were now in the '4 year itch' meaning that myth that most couples experienced after 7 years now is happening sooner. Think Miranda and Blake divorcing after 4 years or Yolanda or David Foster who also divorced after 4 years. Were we really in a rut like the rest of those celebrities?
In fact, I think we're the opposite of the four year itch. Each year has had our own struggles, our own triumphs and our own battles together and apart. We make each year count, plus it's been a blessing each year with new adventures and more to come! Happy Anniversary to my best friend, my other half and my main squeeze. I love doing life with you!Do you believe in the four year itch?
