Verdict on The Foul King
The Foul King is a sports comedy following a shy banker who decides to take up wrestling. He is tired of his everyday work life and decides he needs something more and finds a new level of confidence.
This movie works on many levels with the comedy not taking over the movie. While the sports side shows the dedication to train and prepare to enter a wrestling ring. The two elements balance out to see the wild journey Dae-ho goes on to become a wrestler and improve his life along the way. It proves that a passion can give someone a bigger lust for life, instead of following a flat routine. This embraces the wacky world of professional wrestling and proves that you can tell a story inside and outside the ring.
