The Forgetting Time by @SGuskin

By Pamelascott

Noah is four and wants to go home. The only trouble is he's already there. Noah is a little boy who knows things he shouldn't and remembers things he should have forgotten. Because as well as being a four-year-old called Noah, he remembers being a nine-year-old called Tommy. He remembers his house. His family. His mother. And now he wants to go home. Two boys. Two mothers. One unforgettable story.

This book is incredibly sad. I'd never heard of the book or the author before I bought it years ago when Amazon were doing a 3 for £10 paperback deal. I'm glad I took a chance on it. I'd only read a few chapters when I blasted through it in a couple of hours. The Forgetting Time is different from other books I have read. This is part mystery part supernatural chiller with a few other things thrown in. Janie, Noah's mother is a great character. I really felt for her as she struggled to help her son and find out why he behaves so strangely and seems to be two very different little boys. I love the way the book is paced. The Forgetting Time is heart-breaking at times. This is a great book.
