The First Christmas Party of the Season

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
I have actually been dying to write this post!  I wore the most beautiful christmas party dress the other night to my first Christmas party of the season.  The dress arrived last week and I knew I had to wear it for something festive.  I know it isn't your normal festive colours and for some reason there seems to be this unwritten rule we must wear black and sparkle... but who says we should branch out? Anyway I'm being different this Christmas and I've gone for pink with metallic!
It's gorgeous woven fabric with details of lace.  I fell in love when I saw it and to give you a style idea I've put one of my standard style collages.
Christmas Party in Pink!

My Christmas decorations went up this week and I've been so excited about seeing more of my family and friends.  I'm trying desperately not to eat too many calories... well it's inevitable so I'm doing as much exercise as I can!  I went to a fantastic bootcamp session at a local gym called JIM in Loughborough, I am really stiff today which sucks as I have a spin class later!

With a dress like this you're pretty safe and don't have to worry about too much as the garment does all the talking.  I think it was the most compliments I got from one dress! It comes in other colours but I loved the pink... potential bridesmaids dresses maybe?
I've kept everything else very simple and instead of going for gold (which I initially styled it to) I went for silver.  I only have the jacket featured that is cropped enough to work, everything else looked a bit daft and going minus a coat wasn't an option - I'd freeze! Delicat jewelry in the Tales of Earth necklace, plus my sparkly Miss Selfridge bracelet and Ivy earrings really work together.
I adore this dress! Does it work for Christmas?
Got any Christmas parties coming up?
