Story: The Final Conflict starts as an adult Damien (Neill) has entered the world of politics. He has connections that make it easy for him to meet the new Christ reborn, without anyone else knowing who he really is. Meanwhile, De Carlo (Brazzi) is leading a group of monks looking to eliminate him from the world.
Damien starts to see the threat coming for him and is planning to eliminate the problem. The monks start finding themselves being picked off as the race to stop the Antichrist is on.
Verdict on The Final Conflict
The Final Conflict is the third part of the Omen series following an adult Damien. He now fully understands who he is in the world and is preparing to deal with a new upcoming threat. This brings both sides of the fight to life, showing how dangerous it has become.
The movie does offer up another direction to Damien being around in the world. However, it doesn’t seem to give us much threat from Damien. He has a sinister presence but doesn’t seem to be doing much with these powers. This ends up being a lot slower than needed to be and leaving us feeling flat.
Final Thoughts – The Final Conflict is a flat third part not letting the interesting concept come to life.
