Verdict on The Final Attack on Wembley
The Final Attack on Wembley is a documentary following the events of the Euro final at Wembley. It follows ‘fans’, staff and journalists preparing for the final. This includes ‘fans’ turning up without tickets to try and get into the final while claiming to be there to party. It includes following a local Italian who was attending the game with his young daughter.
However, the ‘fans’ ended up causing chaos outside of the stadium. The parties spiralled out of control, causing damage to local property and people started getting hurt. It leads to the group of ‘fans’ breaking into the safety area to invade the stadium for the final. This only creates more panic and the different sides of people trying to understand what was happening.
The documentary is a perfect example of how football ‘fans’ behave like animals putting people’s lives at risk. It is almost embarrassing to watch some of the ‘fans’ behavior. However, the honest fans wanted to experience a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
This should be shown to prove how unbelievable and pathetic certain ‘fans’ are. We have seen tragedies in the past because of fans storming stadiums and as a nation, we should know better. There should have been more punishment for the behavior of the people on that day, both in the stadium and online.
