This mural is more than just a painting; it’s a symbol of LA’s love and respect for a legend. Over 70,000 individuals have already shown their support by signing the petition, and even Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife, has urged people to join the cause. Though I reside in Silicon Valley, I stand with them in this cause. Will you?

If a property owner grants an artist permission to create art on their property, the artist can register their masterpiece with the City of Los Angeles under this ordinance. The Covenant of the ordinance ensures that even a change in property ownership cannot lead to the removal of the artist’s work. It bewilders me why this isn’t being leveraged by the artist and the family to protect the mural.
