I ended up blogging about Charlie Hebdo as I was in the midst of a quest for all things illustrated in London, researching and writing my Cartoon & Comic Book Tour of London, which took me to Hampstead in search of George Du Maurier. On the way I also found the stdio of Hitler's least favorite cartoonist David Low…

vivid street art in that greatly gentrified South London enclave…
The Cartoon & Comic Book Tour of London was one of the most enjoyable things I undertook this year. It's probably too disparate to turn into an actual London Walk (although it may get an outing in some shape of form one of these days) but as a blog series it allowed me to cover London from Brockley to Wimbledon and many points in between. Thematically, the series was just as wide ranging, going from Scooby Doo in one post to William Hogarth in another.
