IT’S HERE!The new Doctor’s ‘costume’ has been revealed.Commenting on his costume, Peter Capaldi said: “He’s woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 percent Rebel Time Lord.” While lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat added: “New Doctor, new era, and of course new clothes. It looks like bowties are out and Doc Martens are in.

Fans may still be mourning the end of Matt Smith’s reign as the beloved Time Lord, but the official Doctor Who Tumblr has given fans a reason to get excited again.

The official blog posted a first look at the Twelfth Doctor’s new costume, paired with a quote from showrunner Steven Moffat, saying, “New Doctor, new era, and of course new clothes. Monsters of the universe, the vacation is over – Capaldi is suited and booted and coming to get you!”

Previous Doctor Who stars David Tennant (Ten) and Matt Smith (Eleven) made Converses and bowties (also fezzes) their signature as their time as the Doctor, respectively.
