I had high hopes for this collection after I enjoyed the poet's debut, Beautifully Chaotic so much. Thankfully, this lived up to my high expectations. The poems cover familiar territory I've read time and again in modern poetry and themes I've written about myself, love, loss, how to heal a broken heart and other similar themes. We've all been there so I could relate too much of what the poet says. The collection is split into three self-explanatory sections; The Loving, The Breaking and The Healing. The Breaking is my favourite section and the poems are the best. I liked the fact the poet explores such personal experiences in a way that speaks universal truths. The poems vary in length and style and I preferred the longer ones. My favourite poems were Come Close, Waste of Makeup, What Am I Still Here For, Worse Never Better and These Words.
