Verdict on The Devil Came Home
The Devil Came Home is a horror movie following a family dealing with the possession of a PTSD sufferer. It follows them turning to people for help only to discover how serious the situation has become.
This movie is a real mixed bag. On one side the deeper lore behind everything is fantastic. However, on the other side, we get a typical possession movie that goes through the basics of that creation. It doesn’t help that the movie struggles to convince the evil is unfolding and certain conversations feel more like filler than storytelling. This all ends up falling into the typical problems with exorcism movies, even if the mythology is a lot more interesting than many others.

Final Thoughts – The Devil Came Home is a by-the-book exorcism movie.
