This time from Next. Yes, Next I'm surprised too. The high street store I usually walk straight past. Recently I've noticed some great pieces in there. This shirt being one of them.

I'm fond of stripes anyway and I think we all know that; so a striped shirt offers something slightly more tailored to smarten up an outfit. It's the kind of piece you could perhaps wear to work in the modern office and casual with a pair of Converse; and of course it's suitable for the bar too.

Digging out these nude heels reminded me how much I need to wear them in so I can work them into my wardrobe. It's so easy to make an outfit have a little edge with heels and if I can get out of my habit of wearing trainers all day every day, then that's surely a good thing too! Band tee and jeans paired with heels would just lift the whole outfit and make me look more like the 20 something I am, rather than a teenager.

How do you feel about the deconstructed shirt and twist on the classic tailoring?
