Verdict on The Culture of Hip Hop The Staten Island Story Part 2

The Culture of Hip Hop The Staten Island Story Part 2 is the second part of the documentary. It focuses on the rise of the Wu-Tang Clan and how they drew a massive audience from around the world. This showed the break out of Staten Island to put area on the map and saw others looking at what made them different.

Away from Wu-Tang, we see other artists who helped create change in the neighbourhoods. We get to dive into other artists who started to rise and even if it was a song becoming massive. However, it shows the rise of other aspiring artists who weren’t getting signed and wanted to make an impact.

The second part highlights how an area can suddenly create stars and not everyone is going to make it to the next level. It shows that it is a business but respect within the community kept things calm between rivals. This chapter puts more focus on rising success with most of the positive impact the music had on the industry.

Final ThoughtsThe Culture of Hip Hop The Staten Island Story Part 2 does a great job of showing the success.
