The cryptocurrency world needs something like the Oscars. In other words, that’s the idea behind The Crypties, a brand-new annual awards show made by Decrypt Studios, the Web3 production studio arm of Decrypt Media.

The first annual Crypties Awards gala will be held on November 30 at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach. It will be part of this year’s Art Basel celebrations.

Decrypt Studios has put together a great board of advisors made up of industry leaders who know what’s going on in the Web3 development and executive communities. This board will choose the nominees.

In line with the Web3’s decentralized style, only Decrypt Culture Club NFT holders will be able to vote on the Crypties. The first Industry Achievement award will also be given to Erick “Snowfro” Calderon, who made the Art Blocks generative NFT project.

On the heels of receiving an inaugural Cryptie Award from @DecryptStudios for “Industry Achievement” in the crypto ecosystem, @ArtOnBlockchain spoke with Ad Age about how brands can build credibility in the space in order to effectively land partnerships: https://t.co/DjXUh9pAxQ

Alanna Roazzi-Laforet, the founder of Decrypt Studios, said, “As the crypto industry has quickly grown and matured to include cultures and communities around the world, the time is right for an awards show that recognizes the creators and projects that are defining and pushing this space forward.”
